MICHEL ORSINGER, Chairman of the Board
Michel Orsinger is the LimaCorporate's Chairman of the Board, thanks to his extensive experience in the medical industry. He held the position of Worldwide Chairman DePuy Synthes Companies at Johnson & Johnson ("J&J") from 2012 to 2015 and was also a member of J&J's Global Management Team. Michel joined J&J following the sale of Synthes Inc. Prior to his leadership role at J&J, he was COO and CEO of Synthes Inc for 8 years, and spent 11 years with Novartis. Today, Michel is an investor and a Board Member of several start-up companies and an advisor to EQT. Moreover, he joined the Board of Takeda in 2016, the largest Japanese and Asian pharmaceutical company.
Doug Kohrs, Board Member
Doug Kohrs is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in the orthopaedic sector having started his career in 1982 in the space.
From 2006 to 2012, he was CEO and president of Tornier, the US-based orthopaedic company, where he was key in developing Tornier into one of the top orthopaedic companies, specifically for extremities implants. Before his tenure as CEO of Tornier, Mr. Kohrs was CEO of American Medical Systems (1999-2006) and held several roles at Zimmer and Sulzer Spine Tech.
Mr. Kohrs is now focused on non-executive roles in the US with specific focus on the healthcare and orthopaedic space.
Bruno A. Melzi, Board Member
Mr. Melzi joined Zimmer Inc. in 1990 as Managing Director for Italy, from 1997 to 2000 he served as Vice President Europe to become President for EMEA from 2000 to 2003. From this year till 2005 he was Chairman International EMEA & Japan with the direct report of finance, human resources, legal and communications functions. From 2005 to 2013 Mr. Melzi was Chairman for Zimmer EMEA. Mr. Melzi also played a key role in the integration of the international businesses of Zimmer Holdings Inc. and Centerpulse. Mr. Melzi has over 40 years of experience in the orthopaedics and medical device industry, working also with Johnson & Johnson Italy and Smith & Nephew; he holds a degree in Law from the Pavia University.
Eric Lohrer, Board Member
Eric Lohrer represents our co-investor who successfully built one of the largest global orthopedics companies. From 2004-2014, Eric held several management roles at Synthes, respectively Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes, focusing on orthopaedic devices in the US, Asia and Europe. Prior to Synthes he worked for Credit Suisse First Boston in New York.
Massimo Rossi, Board Member
Massimo Rossi has a longstanding relationship with EQT since 1994 and is a member of the EQT Investment Advisory Committee.
He acted as Board Member and Chairman to the Board of several EQT portfolio companies.
Moreover, Massimo was the CEO and president of Swedish Match from 1988 to 1993. In 1995 Mr. Rossi was granted, by The King of Sweden, the order of "Knight of the Northern Star" for outstanding contribution to the Swedish industry as well as to humanitarian commitments.
Michael Bauer, Board Member
Michael Bauer joined EQT in 2009 and is the Head of EQT's Global Healthcare Sector team. In this role he represents EQT in the board of directors of various international companies in which EQT holds a majority shareholding, and he has been serving on LimaCorporate's board since 2016. Michael holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Rodrigo Bianchi, Board Member
Rodrigo Bianchi is a Senior Global Executive in the Medical Device Industry with over 30 years of experience in some of the most important Orthopedic companies.
He started his career at Procter & Gamble and in 1987 he joined Johnson&Johnson where he covered several roles including: President Worldwide DePuy Mitek (2001-2003) and President Worldwide Ethicon (2004-2005).
From 2013 to 2019 Mr. Bianchi was part of Smith&Nephew where he served as President Emerging Markets.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Rome University and a Master in Business Administration from Luiss Business School in Rome.
