Better Is ___ Saving Lives One Donation at a Time
March 26th marked a significant milestone for LimaCorporate, now part of Enovis, as they hosted their inaugural blood donation day.
LimaCorporate's engagement with blood donations began during the COVID-19 pandemic when the company supported the Italian Red Cross with the donation of a blood donation van to aid in the resumption of elective surgeries.
In 2023, the company initiated a collaboration with the local blood donation association AFDS (Associazione Friulana Donatori Sangue) to bring a donation van to the plant, providing employees with the opportunity to donate during work hours.
Due to high demand, it took nearly a year to secure a slot for the blood donation van to visit LimaCorporate. Finally, on March 26th, the van arrived at LimaCorporate. A total of 28 colleagues volunteered, with 22 successfully donating blood, including many first-time donors.
With a second donation day already scheduled for September 16th, 2024, the hope is that this initiative will become a longstanding tradition for LimaCorporate and Enovis in Italy.
