First Surgery Completed with Enovis’ New ArTT System

Earlier this month the first clinical cases using the new ArTT Augments & Buttresses System were successfully performed by Prof. Francesco Benazzo at Fondazione Poliambulanza in Brescia, Italy, marking a significant milestone in Enovis’ commitment to innovation in complex hip reconstruction. This procedure followed shortly after the MDR certification of the system and represents the beginning of a controlled release phase in selected centers across Europe.
What is ArTT?
ArTT stands for Acetabular Reconstruction Trabecular Titanium, and it is Enovis' latest innovation in the field of complex primary and revision total hip arthroplasty (THA).
The system includes a comprehensive range of uncemented acetabular augments and buttresses and is fully compatible with both the DELTA MULTIHOLE TT and DELTA REVISION TT acetabular components. Developed with Enovis’ proprietary Trabecular Titanium technology, ArTT offers:
- Expanded sizes and shapes of Augments and Buttresses
- The use of bone cement for fixation between components and acetabular cups, alongside an uncemented fixation
- New locking and non-locking bone screws, in different diameters and lenghts
- New instrumentation, such as new DELTA trial cups and the new Spheric Finishing Rasps for optimized bone preparation
This evolution builds on the clinical heritage of TT hemispheric modules while offering enhanced versatility and precision for the most demanding acetabular reconstructions.
After the procedure Prof. Benazzo commented "Finally, the missing ring of the TT technology has been filled up, with the new designs of augments and buttresses, to address the situations in revision hip surgery, where we aim to a solid fixation of the cup together with the void filling."
The ArTT Augments & Buttresses System is currently in a controlled release phase, being introduced gradually to a select group of expert centers across Europe. This approach ensures close collaboration with surgical teams, allowing for real-world feedback and optimal support during the initial phase of use.
Enovis is proud to celebrate this first successful case and would like to thank Prof. Benazzo and his entire surgical team, as well as the local and global teams who supported this launch.
Stay tuned to know when ArTT Augments & Buttresses will launch on the markets. Let's keep #CreatingBetterTogether
