About
LimaCorporate’s C2 Uncemented stem is a Zweymuller style stem optimized for primary cases.
The C2 product is part of LimaCorporate’s heritage and has been on the market since 1996. It is indicated for orthopedic cases where strong cortical contact is preferred, as the axial profile represents an optimized thickness to prevent subsidence. [Long term implant stability is supported by the stem’s textured proximal aspect. The dual taper implant design promotes axial stability and fit with the most common femoral anatomies. Rotational stability of the stem in flexion/extension is achieved by a rectangular cross section and sharp edges leading to cortical fixation. This prevents thigh pain [1].
Its unique design provides tapered neck geometry for enhanced range of motion. The rounded calcar region allows an even load distribution, and the distal cross section is tapered and rounded helping to prevent thigh pain and stress shielding [1].
The C2 stem is supported by many years of clinical heritage and remains one of Lima Corporate’s most successful femoral stems. Orthopedic surgeons choose it for its unrivalled reliability and simplicity [3, 5, 6, 7]. The R.I.P.O registry confirms a 99% survival rate at 10 years. [3,4]
