The PROST3SIS project aims to internalize and industrialize the Selective Laser Melting (SLM) 3D printing technology for the production of Ti6Al4V implantable devices.
As well as other advanced manufacturing processes, the main goal is to provide the R&D team with an innovative tool for the design and manufacturing of new orthopaedic products with improved clinical performance. The SLM process is more suitable for the production of small size components and, consequently, it is configured as the optimal technology for the application in the field of Extremities.
