Global Recognition for Packaging Innovation: Bettlach Team Honored with WorldStar Award
We are proud to announce that our Bettlach packaging team has received the prestigious WorldStar Award from the World Packaging Organisation (WPO) for the innovative hip stem packaging system developed in close collaboration with our long-standing partner, GPI Swiss AG.
The award was accepted in Milan by Marco Dosso, Senior Base Business Manager OUS, on behalf of the team. This international recognition follows the Swiss Packaging Award 2024, previously granted to the same packaging solution.
The design features a flexible mesh interior that adapts to different implant shapes, eliminating the need for additional holding components. The packaging allows for one-handed opening, simplifies handling, and enhances sterility in the operating room—delivering measurable efficiency and safety improvements for surgical teams.
This achievement is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the Bettlach packaging team, who led the project, and to the valuable contributions from GPI Swiss AG, represented at the ceremony by Silvia Oertle (Head of Marketing and Sales) and Philipp Freymueller (Vice President of Sales – International).
